How to remove the Quick Release from the helmet strap

Make sure the Quick Release is open by pulling the Arrow from the Body.

To remove the Body from the helmet strap, insert on object (toothpick or pencil end) between BOTH of the Body Arms and the portion of the Horseshoe that shows through the notch in the Nylon Body.

This is done by pulling the Body Arm away from the side of the Body just enough to place the object between the Body Arm and the protruding Horseshoe piece.

This procedure will allow additional pressure to be placed on the Horseshoe locking teeth when you press the Body Arms in.

While holding the Body Arms in, twist the Body to one side to pull the Horseshoe (the metal part installed where the "D" rings are) from the Body.

You must maintain compression on the Arms while you twist the Body to remove the Horseshoe. This procedure will enable you to pull the Body off the Horseshoe and should not damage the Quick Release or the strap.

Placing an object on each side between the arms of the body and the horseshoe clip end will make it compress the horseshoe piece in more for easier removal.
The arms must compress the horseshoe inside the body in completely to allow it to release.
The horseshoe should pull out with some encouragement, prying and twisting.
