ECHO Quick Release Production Expands Under New Ownership

SHELBYVILLE, TN - January 7, 2008 - ECHO Products has announced expanded production of the popular ECHO Quick Release Buckle at larger facilities owned and operated by new owner Two Rivers Manufacturing LLC. Two Rivers has acquired the ECHO line from helmet industry pioneers Bob and Kay Wright of Mesquite, Nevada.
Two Rivers Manufacturing LLC will produce the ECHO Quick Release at facilities in Shelbyville, Tennessee and continue sales through leading motorcycle industry distributors and their authorized retailers. Two Rivers is a new company formed by Vega Helmet co-founder Jeanne DeMund and DMS founder Dobee Mallard.
"The ECHO Quick Release has proven itself in the market, and we're proud to be able to make it all the more accessible," said Mallard and DeMund. "There is no one better to carry on the line we created," said Kay Wright, who is retiring from the business.
The late inventor Bob Wright spent 25 years developing and improving a reliable, fast and convenient way to securely fasten and unfasten helmet chin-straps. The patented design departs from the "D" ring design standard to most motorcycle helmets, combining a secure, tempered steel metal-to-metal locking mechanism and rugged nylon body. The buckle fits virtually any chin-straps without modification and is known to release smoothly with a firm, two sided squeeze even with gloved hands. It exceeds chin-strap testing requirements of D.O.T. 218, SNELL (M2005) and N.I.J. 0104.02. ECHO Products' new owners said the company will focus on continuity of quality assurance and more robust production facilities, while exploring new applications for the ECHO Quick Release buckle beyond the motorcycle, snowmobile and All Terrain Vehicle helmet markets.
